**Bengaluru, November 30, 2024** – Bengaluru experienced a cloudy Saturday morning as Cyclone Fengal, currently weakening over the Bay of Bengal, moves towards the Tamil Nadu coast. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts cloudy weather and light to moderate rainfall for Bengaluru and several other Karnataka districts over the next 24 hours.

According to IMD scientist D. Puviarasan, Fengal is expected to make landfall between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram. While the cyclone is weakening, Bengaluru, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagara, and Chamarajanagara districts can expect light to moderate rainfall. However, a shift in forecast predicts moderate to heavy rainfall in Mandya, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar districts on Monday. Temperatures are expected to remain between 17°C and 26°C. The impact on Karnataka is expected to be minimal due to the cyclone’s weakening. The initial forecast of widespread rainfall has been revised.
