**NEW DELHI –** Delhi residents woke up to a chilly Saturday morning, with the city’s air quality plunging into the “very poor” category and the temperature hitting a season’s low of 9.8 degrees Celsius. The Air Quality Index (AQI) registered 351 around 9 am, according to the Sameer app, which tracks the Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) data.
Despite the cold start, the day is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of around 26 degrees Celsius. High humidity levels of 97 percent were recorded earlier this morning.
November 2023 has officially been recorded as the warmest November in the last five years, continuing a trend of unusually warm months. Average minimum temperatures were 14.9 degrees Celsius, nearly 2 degrees above the long-term average, while maximum temperatures averaged 29.5 degrees Celsius, 1.1 degrees above average. This marks the warmest November since 2019.
