**Bengaluru, [Date]** – The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, will increase its student intake to 310 seats for the 2025-26 academic year, according to a notification released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). This represents a significant expansion of the university’s capacity.
The revised seat matrix includes 121 seats for General category students and 10 seats specifically reserved for Karnataka students based on merit. Reservations are also in place for various categories: 45 seats (15%) for Scheduled Castes, 23 seats (7.5%) for Scheduled Tribes, 81 seats (27%) for Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), and 30 seats (10%) for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
A significant portion of the intake is reserved for women, with 90 seats (30%) allocated horizontally across all categories. Additionally, 75 seats (25%) are reserved horizontally for Karnataka students, requiring candidates to demonstrate at least 10 years of schooling in the state. These students will need to submit relevant certificates during the counselling process.
