Sat Nov 30 15:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Windies Eye Series Sweep Against Bangladesh in Jamaica

**KINGSTON, JAMAICA –** West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite is aiming for a clean sweep against Bangladesh in the upcoming second Test match, starting November 30th in Jamaica. Following a resounding 201-run victory in the series opener in Antigua, the West Indies are confident of ending their 2024 Test calendar on a high. Their last Test series sweep was a 2-0 victory over Bangladesh in 2022.

“It’s very important to end the year on a high note,” Brathwaite emphasized. “We can’t afford to take any Test match for granted.” He stressed the importance of a fresh start, acknowledging the first Test is in the past.

Brathwaite is particularly pleased with his pace attack, which spearheaded the win in Antigua. Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Shamar Joseph, and Alzarri Joseph, along with Justin Greaves, combined to take all the Bangladeshi wickets. Brathwaite expects a similar performance in Jamaica, noting the favorable bowling conditions.

“Bowlers enjoy bowling here,” he said, referencing the expected seam movement. “It’s obviously a new ground, and there’s a lot of moisture, so we’ve got to start fresh.” He expressed full confidence in his pace bowlers, highlighting their diverse skillsets and a promising future for the bowling unit. The series concludes with a second Test in Jamaica, offering the West Indies a chance to secure a memorable year-end victory.
