**Muscat, Oman –** Bangladesh’s Under-21 hockey team suffered a heavy 6-0 defeat against Pakistan in their second Pool B match of the Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2024 on Thursday. The loss comes after a promising 3-1 victory over Oman on Tuesday.
Sufyan Khan led the Pakistan charge with a hat-trick, scoring three goals from penalty corners in the 23rd, 32nd, and 43rd minutes. Muhammad Ammad, Waleed Rana, and Zikriya Hayat added one field goal each to complete the rout.
Despite the setback, Bangladesh remains in contention in the five-team pool, currently sitting in third place with three points. They will face Malaysia in their next match on Saturday. Pakistan, meanwhile, are in second place after their earlier 7-2 win over China.
