**Mumbai, India** – Bollywood actor Sharad Kapoor has been accused of sexual assault and is now the subject of a police investigation. A 32-year-old woman filed a complaint alleging that Kapoor, known for his roles in films like *Josh*, *Kargil LOC*, and *Lakshya*, invited her to his Khar residence earlier this week under the guise of discussing a film project.
According to the police, the woman claims Kapoor behaved inappropriately, forcibly touched her in his bedroom, and subsequently sent her abusive messages via WhatsApp. The woman reportedly initially connected with Kapoor through Facebook and later engaged in video calls with him.
Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Kapoor under sections 74, 75, and 79 of the relevant laws, pertaining to using criminal force against a woman, sexual harassment, and insulting her modesty. The investigation is ongoing.
