TIRUPATI, INDIA (November 30, 2024) – The annual Brahmotsavam festival at the Tiruchanur temple in Tirupati continued Saturday despite persistent rain. The highlight was a vibrant procession featuring the Goddess Padmavati Ammavaru on the ‘Mutyapu Pandiri Vahanam’ (pearl canopy vehicle). Over 270 artistes from across India showcased a variety of dance forms, including Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and traditional folk dances like Kanjeera Kolatam and Pillanagrovi. Students from the S.V. College of Music and Dance, run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), also participated, portraying mythological characters for the devotees. Senior TTD officials were present at the procession.
