MUSCAT, OMAN – The Indian junior men’s hockey team, under the guidance of former Indian captain P.R. Sreejesh, has departed for Oman to defend their Asian Cup title. The team, which recently won bronze at the Sultan Johor Cup in Malaysia, will compete in Pool A alongside Thailand, Japan, Chinese Taipei, and South Korea. Their opening match is against Thailand on November 27th. The top two teams from the pool will advance to the semi-finals. This is the second tournament for Kochi-native coach Sreejesh, marking his continued success in the field.
