**Sivni Malwa, MP (India) –** A human chain formed by students of the Government Girls College, Sivni Malwa, marked a significant AIDS awareness event on November 28th, 2024. Organized jointly by the Red Ribbon Club and the National Service Scheme (NSS), the event was part of AIDS Awareness Week.

Under the guidance of college principal Dr. Umesh Kumar Dhruve, students took an oath to promote AIDS awareness and shared messages through slogans. Ms. Kajal Ratan, the NSS and Red Ribbon Club in-charge, briefed students on the week’s activities. Dr. Bau Patel, a senior professor, addressed common misconceptions about AIDS and urged compassion towards those affected, while also providing preventative advice.

The event saw participation from faculty members Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Mr. Rajnish Jatav, Dr. Satish Balapure, Dr. Durga Mina, along with the entire staff and student body. The human chain aimed to raise awareness and promote prevention and control of HIV/AIDS.
