**Palakkad, Kerala –** A 40-year-old woman was killed and three others injured early Friday morning when a poultry lorry lost control and crashed into a bus shelter in Chittur, near Palakkad, Kerala. The victim, identified as Parvathi from Mysuru, was sleeping under the shelter at the time of the accident. The injured, Krishnan (70), his wife Savitri (48), and their son Vinod (25), sustained minor injuries. Parvathi was Savitri’s niece.
Police have arrested the lorry driver and launched an investigation into the incident. This tragic event follows a similar accident a few days prior in Nattika, near Kodungallur, where five people, including two children, were killed when a log-laden lorry ran over them while they slept by the roadside. The body of Parvathi has been sent to a hospital.
