Fri Nov 29 00:42:17 UTC 2024: ## Kerala Blasters Suffer Shock Home Defeat to FC Goa

**KOCHI, INDIA (November 28, 2024) –** Kerala Blasters FC suffered a surprising 1-0 defeat at home to FC Goa in the Indian Super League (ISL) on Thursday, ending their nine-game scoring streak. The loss, their fourth of the season, came despite Kerala dominating possession for much of the match.

Boris Singh’s 40th-minute goal, a shot that squeaked past goalkeeper Sachin Suresh, proved to be the decider. Suresh, despite being repeatedly endorsed by manager Mikael Stahre as the starting keeper, failed to make a routine save.

Despite numerous chances, including a free-kick from Adrian Luna and a late penalty appeal for Korou Singh that was denied, Kerala were unable to find the back of the net. Substitute Sandeep Singh also missed a golden opportunity to equalize in the dying minutes.

Forward Jesus Jimenez, aiming for his seventh goal in as many games, received limited service, leading to a triple substitution by Stahre in the 57th minute.

FC Goa, on the other hand, scored against the run of play and efficiently preserved their lead, even bringing on their star striker Armando Sadiku only late in the game.

The loss leaves Kerala Blasters ninth in the ISL table with 11 points from 10 matches, while FC Goa climbs to fifth with 15 points from nine.
