Wed Nov 27 18:59:40 UTC 2024: ## Multiple Bomb Threats and Swatting Attacks Target Trump’s Incoming Administration

**NEW YORK, November 27, 2024** – Several incoming members of President-elect Donald Trump’s administration have been targeted by a series of bomb threats and “swatting” attacks, the Trump transition team confirmed Wednesday. These incidents involved threats against the lives of nominees and appointees, extending to their families and homes.

The FBI acknowledged the numerous threats and confirmed it is investigating, working alongside other law enforcement agencies. They urged the public to report any suspicious activity.

Among those targeted was Representative Elise Stefanik, Trump’s UN ambassador pick. A bomb threat was made against her Saratoga County residence while she was traveling with her family. Law enforcement responded swiftly. Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, initially selected for Attorney General, was also the subject of a bomb threat targeting his family’s mailbox in Florida. No devices were found at either location.

The attacks come after a contentious political campaign marked by previous acts of violence, including a shooting at a Trump rally and a thwarted assassination attempt at his golf course. The Trump transition team expressed gratitude for the rapid response of law enforcement. The FBI emphasized the seriousness of the threats and reiterated their commitment to investigating these incidents thoroughly.
