**Mysuru, November 27, 2024** – Trainees from the Postal Training Institute (PTC) in Mysuru embarked on a guided heritage walk through the city on Wednesday. The two-and-a-half-hour tour, a weekly event organized by the Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, showcased Mysuru’s rich history and architecture.
Retired University of Mysore professor and District Heritage Committee member, P.N.S. Rangaraju, led the walk, explaining the significance of landmarks including the palace, town hall, prominent circles, Devaraja market, and the clock tower. This weekly initiative, now in its 12th year, has become a regular feature for PTC trainees, many of whom hail from South India, with some participants from the North as well. Professor Rangaraju noted the trainees’ enthusiastic appreciation for Mysuru’s heritage throughout the tour.
