**Chennai, India –** Mahindra has launched its highly anticipated XEV 9e electric SUV in the Indian market, alongside its sibling, the BE 6e. The all-electric SUV, priced at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai), will begin deliveries in February 2025. The XEV 9e boasts a distinctive design, a range of advanced features, and impressive performance capabilities.

Contrary to initial speculation, the XEV 9e features a unique design language, differentiating it from the XUV700. Key design elements include a triangular headlamp cluster flanked by LED DRLs, a new Mahindra logo, and a flowing coupe-like roofline that extends from the front to the rear. The SUV sits on 19-inch alloy wheels and offers a spacious interior with a 195L frunk and a 663L trunk. Its dimensions measure 4,789 mm in length, with a ground clearance of 207 mm.

Inside, the XEV 9e offers a technologically advanced cabin with a prominent three-screen dashboard spanning 110 cm, complemented by a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. A total of five screens are included. Luxury features abound, including an air purifier, a sunroof with UV ray protection, a Harman Kardon Dolby Atmos sound system, a heads-up display with augmented reality, 5G connectivity, integrated Amazon Alexa, cooled center console, and 60:40 split rear seats.

Safety is prioritized with Level 2+ ADAS features, Secure360 vehicle monitoring, six airbags, an electronic parking brake, TPMS, and a driver drowsiness system.

Powering the XEV 9e is a choice of two powertrains. The top-spec variant utilizes a 79 kWh battery pack, delivering an ARAI-certified range of 659 km (with a real-world range exceeding 500 km), a 286 bhp electric motor, and 380 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 6.8 seconds. A 59 kWh battery pack with a 231 hp motor is also available. Charging is facilitated via a 140 kW DC charger.
