**Mumbai, India –** Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its highly anticipated electric vehicles, the BE 6e and the XEV 9e, built on the new INGLO EV platform. The entry-level prices for the BE 6e and XEV 9e have been announced at Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 21.90 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, India), excluding the cost of the charger. A full price list will be revealed in the latter half of January 2025, ahead of dealership arrival.
Bookings for both EVs open in January 2025, with deliveries anticipated to commence between February and March 2025. The public will get their first look at the BE 6e and XEV 9e at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Mahindra’s staggered launch strategy aims to maximize customer anticipation.
The BE 6e falls under Mahindra’s Born Electric sub-brand, while the XEV 9e is part of the XEV range. Both models share similar design features including LED headlamps with DRLs, LED tail lamps, aerodynamic alloy wheels, flush door handles, and a distinctive 2-spoke steering wheel.
Consumers can choose between 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. The BE 6e offers a claimed range of 535 km (59 kWh) and 682 km (79 kWh), while the XEV 9e boasts a range of 542 km (59 kWh) and 656 km (79 kWh). Power output is consistent across battery options: 231 hp/380 Nm for the 59 kWh variant and 286 hp/380 Nm for the 79 kWh variant.
