Hyderabad, India – Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading Indian automaker, has launched two new electric SUVs in the Indian market: the Mahindra XUV 9e and the Mahindra BE 6e. The XUV 9e is priced at ₹21.9 lakh (ex-showroom), while the BE 6e is priced at ₹18.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
**Mahindra XUV 9e:**
The XUV 9e boasts a striking design featuring projector headlamps with triangular headlights, inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, a front LED light bar, redesigned bumpers, a blanked-off grille, and contrasting ORVMs. Interior highlights include a new two-spoke multi-function flat-bottom steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, a three-screen dashboard setup, and a 1400-watt Harman Kardon sound system. Powered by a 59kWh battery pack and electric motor, it delivers 228bhp and 380Nm of torque, offering a claimed range of 656 kilometers on a full charge. Its battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 140kW DC fast charger. The XUV 9e accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
**Mahindra BE 6e:**
Originally known as the BE 05, the BE 6e is a coupe SUV featuring jewel-like headlights, a rear LED light bar, and 20-inch wheels (top-spec variant). Despite a slightly smaller boot space than the XUV 9e, it still offers 455 liters of boot space plus a 45-liter frunk. The cabin is driver-focused, inspired by fighter jet thrusters. It includes features like multi-zone climate control, multiple drive modes, wireless phone charging, a high-end Mahindra Sonic Studio infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, and an AI interface. Safety features include seven airbags, ADAS, and a 360-degree camera. The BE 6e uses a 59kWh or 79kWh battery pack, with a claimed maximum range of 682 kilometers. Its motor produces 288bhp and 380Nm of torque, and the battery charges from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes with a 175kW DC fast charger.
