
Tue Nov 26 16:14:34 UTC 2024: ## Dharmasthala Lakshadeepotsava Begins with Grand Exhibition
**DHARMASHTALA, November 26, 2024** – The five-day Lakshadeepotsava celebrations commenced in Dharmasthala on Tuesday with the inauguration of a large exhibition featuring approximately 350 stalls. The exhibition, located at the Manjunatheswara High School ground, will remain open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. until November 30th. Evening cultural programs are scheduled from 6 p.m. onwards. A padayatra (foot procession) from Ujire to Dharmasthala also marked the beginning of the festivities.
D. Veerendra Heggade, the Pattadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and Rajya Sabha member, announced that Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar will visit Dharmasthala on January 7th and 8th, 2025, to inaugurate a new queue complex building. Scholarships will be distributed to around 60,000 students during the Vice-President’s visit. Heggade also revealed the completion of a new building for the SDM Ayurveda College in Udupi, slated for an upcoming inauguration. The event is expected to draw large crowds and showcase the rich culture and tradition of the region.
