**NEW DELHI** – Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially entered the burgeoning Indian electric vehicle market with the launch of two new electric scooters: the Activa e and the QC1. While pricing remains undisclosed for now, HMSI anticipates the QC1 will be priced between ₹45,000 and ₹65,000, and the Activa e under ₹80,000. Final pricing will be announced early next year.

The Activa e boasts a swappable battery system, offering a claimed range of 102 km on a single charge. Powered by a 1.5 kWh battery and wheel-side electric motor, it delivers between 5.6 bhp and 8 bhp. In contrast, the QC1 features a fixed 1.5 kWh battery and a smaller in-wheel motor, producing between 1.6 bhp and 2.4 bhp, with a range of 80 km.

Both scooters offer modern features including a 5-inch LCD instrument panel and a USB Type-C charging port. The Activa e’s superior range and swappable battery system position it as a more premium offering within Honda’s new electric lineup. This move by HMSI marks a significant entry into the rapidly growing Indian electric two-wheeler segment, following the success of other manufacturers in the market.
