**Bengaluru, India** – Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched its first electric scooters in the Indian market: the Activa E and the QC1. These scooters mark a significant step for Honda’s foray into the growing electric two-wheeler segment in India.

The Activa E boasts a swappable battery option, offering a claimed range of 102 km on a single charge. It features a 7.0-inch TFT screen, multiple riding modes, and smart key functionality. The scooter’s design closely resembles the popular Activa petrol variant, incorporating LED lighting and 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It will be available in five color options.

The QC1, on the other hand, comes with a fixed battery and a slightly simpler design, featuring a 5.0-inch negative LCD display, two riding modes, and a 26-liter storage compartment. Powered by a 1.5 kWh battery, it offers a range of 80 km.

Both scooters will be available for booking starting January 25th, 2025, with deliveries commencing in February. Honda is expected to reveal pricing closer to the booking date. While the Activa E’s swappable battery system might attract customers prioritizing convenience, the QC1 presents a more budget-friendly option. The introduction of these electric scooters signifies Honda’s commitment to offering diverse choices within the expanding Indian electric vehicle market.
