**Mumbai, India** – Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. today unveiled the Activa e, its first electric scooter for the Indian market. Marking Honda’s entry into India’s burgeoning EV sector, the Activa e boasts a range of up to 102 kilometers on a single charge thanks to its swappable 1.5kWh battery packs. The scooter also features Honda’s RoadSync Duo connectivity suite, enabling Bluetooth pairing for phone calls and navigation.
Available in Spring 2025 in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, the Activa e will be offered in Standard and Sync Duo variants with a choice of five colors. It’s powered by a wheel-side electric motor delivering 4.2 kW rated output, 6.0 kW maximum output, and 22 Nm of peak torque. Three riding modes – Econ, Sport, and Standard – are available, with Sport mode reaching a top speed of 80 kmph. A reverse mode adds to the convenience.
The Activa e features a modern design with LED DRLs, an LED headlamp with integrated turn indicators, and alloy wheels with front disc brakes. Honda also launched the QC1, a shorter-range electric scooter ideal for commutes, with an 80km range and a 1.5 kWh battery.
To support the Activa e, Honda will launch its battery-sharing service, Honda e:Swap, using Mobile Power Pack e in the three launch cities, operated by Honda Power Pack Energy India Private Limited. Honda aims to introduce 30 electric models in India by 2030.
