**ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN –** Turkish defense contractor Repkon has secured a significant contract to build a state-of-the-art production line for 155mm artillery shells in Pakistan. The facility, a joint venture with Wah Industries Limited (WIL), a subsidiary of Pakistan Ordnance Factories, will boast an annual production capacity of 120,000 shell bodies.
The agreement encompasses the design and construction of a complete, automated production line, including a subsequent explosive filling line. This turnkey project will significantly boost Pakistan’s domestic artillery shell manufacturing capabilities. WIL, a major supplier to the Pakistan Armed Forces and international clients, will be the ultimate operator of the new facility.
Repkon, a company with a proven track record in this sector, previously established similar production lines for the U.S. Department of Defense. This latest contract highlights the growing importance of Turkish defense industry expertise in the international market and strengthens the defense cooperation between Turkey and Pakistan.
