Tue Nov 26 01:20:00 UTC 2024: **NBC Orders Full Season of Reba McEntire’s Hit Comedy ‘Happy’s Place’**
**Los Angeles, CA** – NBC has shown its confidence in Reba McEntire’s new sitcom, *Happy’s Place*, by ordering a full 18-episode season. The network initially ordered 13 episodes but added an additional five following strong initial ratings and streaming numbers. This marks a significant vote of confidence, particularly given that an 18-episode order is considered a full season by current network standards.
The series, which premiered to strong numbers, saw a 90% increase in total viewers and an 88% increase in the 18-49 demographic compared to previous programming in its 8 PM Friday timeslot. Its premiere episode attracted 4 million linear viewers and an impressive 14 million viewers across all platforms. This success also includes setting a record for the best new comedy launch ever on Peacock.
*Happy’s Place* stars McEntire as Bobbie, who inherits her father’s tavern and unexpectedly discovers a half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), as her new business partner. The show reunites several members of the creative team behind McEntire’s previous successful sitcom, *Reba*, and co-stars Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn.
NBC also commissioned five additional scripts for *Lopez vs. Lopez*, which airs on Fridays alongside *Happy’s Place*, though a full season order for that show is yet to be announced. The success of *Happy’s Place* is likely fueled in part by McEntire’s current role as a coach on *The Voice*.
