**London, UK –** The Premier League announced today that it will establish an in-house media operations business, ending its 20-year partnership with IMG for international content production and distribution. The change will take effect from the start of the 2026/27 season.

For two decades, IMG has operated Premier League Productions (PLP), producing content for over 180 countries. PLP’s work includes full coverage of all 380 Premier League matches annually, along with supplementary programming. Both organizations will continue collaborating for the next two seasons before the Premier League assumes full control.

Premier League Chief Media Officer Paul Molnar praised IMG’s contribution, highlighting their role in “growing our global audiences and popularity.” Barney Francis, EVP, Studios, IMG, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing their collaborative innovations over the past 20 years, including the launch of PLTV and the adoption of advanced technologies.

The Premier League plans to release further details about its new in-house operation before its launch in 2026.
