**New Delhi, [Date]** – Ola Electric has launched two new electric scooters, the Gig and Gig Plus, specifically designed for commercial purposes. Targeting courier services, food delivery, and other gig work, the scooters are priced competitively at ₹40,000 and ₹50,000 respectively.

Both scooters boast removable batteries and sturdy builds. The Gig features a 1.5 kWh battery offering a claimed range of 112 km on a single charge, powered by a 250W motor with a top speed of 25 kmph. The Gig Plus, on the other hand, also has a 1.5 kWh battery but boasts a claimed range of 157 km and a more powerful 1.5 kW motor, achieving a top speed of 45 kmph. Ola claims these scooters offer 93.4% lower running costs compared to petrol-powered alternatives.

While the Gig has a simpler design, the Gig Plus features added body cladding and brighter color options. Both models share similar specifications including telescopic forks, dual spring suspension, 12-inch wheels, and drum brakes.

Bookings are open on Ola Electric’s website for a token amount of ₹499, with deliveries commencing in April 2024.
