**Beirut, Lebanon –** The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is disproportionately affecting Shia Muslim civilians in Lebanon, leading to rising sectarian tensions, according to reports from The Hindu. Israeli airstrikes have heavily targeted areas in southern and northeastern Lebanon, home to both Hezbollah militants and numerous Shia civilians. While Israel maintains its war is solely against Hezbollah, the high civilian death toll and destruction of Shia communities are fueling anger and resentment.
