Tue Nov 26 03:29:25 UTC 2024: ## Arjun Tendulkar Snapped Up by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025 Auction After Initial Snub

**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia:** Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, faced a nail-biting start to the IPL 2025 mega auction. Initially passed over by all franchises, he was eventually picked up by the Mumbai Indians at his base price of ₹30 lakh.

The auction saw a flurry of activity, with several players fetching crore-plus deals. However, Arjun’s performance leading up to the auction, including an expensive spell in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, seemingly dampened initial interest. His absence from the initial bidding rounds sparked considerable social media buzz.

Mumbai Indians, however, ultimately decided to retain the all-rounder, who previously played 5 matches for the team in the IPL, taking only 3 wickets. The team released him before the auction.

The auction also saw 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi become a millionaire after being drafted by CSK for ₹1.1 crore, creating a significant talking point. Suryavanshi’s recent record-breaking century against Australia U19 further solidified his auction value.
