Tue Nov 26 05:07:52 UTC 2024: ## Gujarat Titans Score Big Bargains on Day Two of IPL 2025 Mega Auction
**Ahmedabad, India** – The Gujarat Titans, after splashing out on big-name players like Jos Buttler and Kagiso Rabada on day one of the IPL 2025 mega auction, adopted a more shrewd strategy on day two, securing several key players at bargain prices.
The most significant acquisition was that of Washington Sundar, the spin-bowling all-rounder, for a surprisingly low 3.2 crore INR, only 1.2 crore above his base price. This was a considerable saving considering expectations of a bidding war for the talented player.
Other notable additions to the Titans squad include Gerald Coetzee, further bolstering their bowling attack. The Titans already boast a formidable pace bowling line-up, having previously secured Mohammed Siraj (12.25 crore INR), Prasidh Krishna (9.5 crore INR), and Kagiso Rabada (10.75 crore INR). The team also added several other players at more economical prices, including Nishant Sindhu (30 lakh INR), Mahipal Lomror (1.7 crore INR), and others.
The Titans’ biggest outlay remained Jos Buttler, the explosive wicketkeeper-batsman, acquired for a hefty 15.75 crore INR. Buttler, previously with the Rajasthan Royals, expressed his excitement to play under the captaincy of Shubman Gill.
The Titans’ strategic spending across the two days showcases a balanced approach, combining star power with astute value purchases to build a strong and competitive squad for the upcoming IPL season.
