**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]** – India will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of its Constitution with a special ceremony on November 26th, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju announced on Sunday. The event, to be held in the Central Hall of the Parliament House (formerly known as the Constitution House), will feature President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Central Hall holds historical significance as it is where the Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution on November 26, 1949, which came into effect on January 26, 1950.
The ceremony will include the release of commemorative coins and stamps, along with copies of the Constitution in Sanskrit and Maithili. Two books, “Making of the Constitution A Glimpse” and “Making of the Constitution and its Glory,” and a booklet showcasing images from the Constitution will also be unveiled. The event will also feature the reading of the Preamble to the Constitution by President Murmu and citizens from India and abroad.
