**DALLAS, Nov 25, 2024** – 5&2 Studios announced today that the highly anticipated fifth season of the biblical drama series, “The Chosen,” titled “The Last Supper,” will receive a theatrical release starting March 27, 2025. The season, shot in cinematic format, will be distributed by Fathom in the U.S. and Trafalgar Releasing internationally. It will run for four weeks in U.S. and Canadian theaters, divided into three parts for easier viewing. An international rollout to over 40 territories will begin April 10th, with a streaming debut later in 2025.
Creator and executive producer Dallas Jenkins expressed excitement about the season, calling it “huge” and requiring significant work. He highlighted the release of a first-look trailer and poster to coincide with the series’ third annual Teal Tuesday celebration.
Teal Tuesday, taking place November 26th from 4 p.m. to midnight EST, will be an eight-hour livestream event on The Chosen’s YouTube channel. Hosted by executive producer Derral Eves, it will feature cast appearances, giveaways, and discounted merchandise.
“The Chosen: Last Supper” focuses on the final week of Jesus’ life, depicting the events leading up to the Passover meal and the ensuing conflict with religious and political leaders. The series, which boasts over 250 million viewers and 17 million social media followers, continues to expand its reach globally.
