**Ranchi, [Date]:** The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) has launched a 60-day campaign to protect the Indian Constitution, targeting five key issues. The campaign, running from November 26th, 2024 to January 26th, 2025, is in line with directives from the All India Congress Committee.
According to Congress spokesperson Sonal Shanti, the campaign will focus on: the fight for constitutional rights and equality; safeguarding constitutionally guaranteed reservations; eliminating discrimination; exposing the BJP government’s alleged pro-capitalist, anti-poor policies; and highlighting the BJP’s alleged attacks on democracy and freedom.
The campaign will specifically address the BJP’s policies perceived as detrimental to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, minorities, women, youth, and farmers. It will also highlight alleged discriminatory data, pro-capitalist policies, growing economic inequality under the central government, and the misuse of government agencies. Advocating for a caste census and exposing the BJP’s alleged discriminatory views on the reservation system will also be central to the campaign.
The JPCC plans to use rallies, public relations, and grassroots-level dialogues to raise awareness about these issues. The campaign aims to demonstrate the Congress party’s commitment to protecting constitutional rights, freedoms, and equality.
