Mon Nov 25 18:18:23 UTC 2024: ## Unheralded Bowler Anshul Kamboj Creates IPL Auction Buzz, Snapped Up by CSK for ₹3.4 Crore

**CHENNAI, INDIA** – The second day of the IPL mega auction saw a bidding war erupt for relatively unknown medium-pace all-rounder Anshul Kamboj. Starting with a base price of ₹30 lakh, the price quickly escalated as several teams, including Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Lucknow Super Giants, competed fiercely for his services.

The final bidding showdown between Mumbai Indians and CSK saw the price soar past ₹3 crore before CSK ultimately secured Kamboj for ₹3.4 crore.

Kamboj, a six-foot-tall bowler from Haryana, was part of the Mumbai Indians squad last IPL season. He’s praised for his ability to consistently hit the right length, excellent wrist position, and impressive inswing. He consistently bowls at speeds between 130 and 135 kilometers per hour and possesses a potent yorker.

Recently, Kamboj grabbed headlines for his remarkable Ranji Trophy performance, taking all ten wickets against Kerala at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Stadium for just 49 runs. He is only the third bowler in Ranji Trophy history to achieve this feat. This exceptional performance further solidified his position as a player to watch.
