Mon Nov 25 03:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Tirumala Temple Embraces Digital Future with AI-Powered Services

**TIRUMALA** – The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is undergoing a major digital transformation to improve visitor experience and streamline operations. The initiative, confirmed by TTD Executive Officer J Shyamala Rao, involves integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and custom software across various departments, including IT, accounts, and traffic management.

A key element of this transformation is the introduction of donation kiosks, the first of which has already raised over Rs 2 lakh in a week at the Annadhanam canteen complex. These kiosks allow devotees to make donations ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 99,999, with the majority of donations being smaller amounts. More kiosks will be deployed across Tirumala, offering a range of services including darshan ticket booking, accommodation reservations, laddu purchases, and information on temple programs and transportation.

The digital initiative aims to reduce reliance on manual processes and enhance self-service options. AI will play a crucial role in optimizing queue management, improving darshan scheduling, and reducing waiting times. The TTD plans to hire AI and software experts to assess each department and identify further opportunities for digital improvement.

A senior IT employee highlighted the strong positive response from devotees, emphasizing the success of the early stages of the initiative. The TTD is committed to balancing modernization with the preservation of the temple’s spiritual sanctity, and all proposals will be submitted to the Trust Board for approval. This significant undertaking aims to transform Tirumala into a technologically advanced pilgrimage site while maintaining its traditional values.
