**Tirupati, [Date]:** A Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues its probe into allegations of adulterated ghee used in the preparation of Srivari Laddus, the famed prasadam from the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. The investigation, ordered by the Supreme Court and overseen by CBI officials, is now in its second day in Tirumala.
Three SIT teams are currently investigating, having already collected information from AR Dairy in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, a supplier of ghee. They have also examined TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) marketing warehouses in Tirupati and reviewed documents related to ghee procurement tenders.
The investigation is based on a case registered at Tirupati East Police Station. The SIT’s work includes verifying the quality of the ghee used in the preparation of the laddus.
