**Hyderabad, India** – SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) made a splash at the IPL 2025 mega auction, significantly reshaping their roster with a focus on both established stars and promising young talent. The franchise spent a total of ₹35.85 crore (approximately $4.4 million USD) on new players.

The most significant acquisition was Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami, secured for a hefty ₹10 crore. Other notable additions include Ishan Kishan (₹11.25 crore), Harshal Patel (₹8 crore), and South African leg-spinner Adam Zampa (₹2.4 crore). The team also bolstered their batting lineup with several other players including Rahul Chahar and Atharva Taide.

Prior to the auction, SRH had already made significant investments, retaining the services of South African batsman Heinrich Klaasen for a whopping ₹24 crore, as well as Australian stars Pat Cummins and Travis Head. Indian players Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Reddy were also retained.

However, the team also released a significant number of players, including several key members of their previous squads such as Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathi, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The full list of released players is extensive and includes a mix of both Indian and international players.
