Mon Nov 25 10:00:00 UTC 2024: ## SpaceX Successfully Launches Starlink Satellites, Booster Lands for 13th Time

**Cape Canaveral, FL** – SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink internet satellites at 5:02 a.m. EST on Monday, November 25th, from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The launch, part of the Starlink 12-1 mission, proceeded as planned, with the first-stage booster successfully landing on the drone ship “Just Read the Instructions” in the Atlantic Ocean eight minutes and eleven seconds after liftoff. This marked the booster’s 13th successful mission.

The launch was initially scheduled for 5:02 a.m. EST, but experienced a 27-minute delay. Favorable weather conditions, with clear skies and light winds, contributed to the successful launch. The 45th Weather Squadron predicted a greater than 95% chance of favorable weather for both Monday’s launch and a second Starlink mission scheduled for later that evening from Kennedy Space Center’s pad 39A. That second mission, Starlink 6-76, had a launch window extending from 10:31 p.m. Monday to 3:02 a.m. Tuesday.

SpaceX President of Launch, Kiko Dontchev, highlighted the company’s rapid advancements in reusable rocket technology, noting that over 50% of all Falcon launches have occurred in the past two years. He emphasized the significance of Starlink in driving advancements in rocket operations.

Brevard County Emergency Management officials activated their launch operations support team in preparation for the launch. FLORIDA TODAY provided live coverage of the event, including a countdown clock and webcast.
