**Dubai, UAE** – Saudi Arabian budget airline flyadeal plans to significantly expand its network over the next year, with a particular focus on India, according to CEO Steve Greenway. Speaking at the Skift Global Forum East in Dubai, Greenway announced the airline will launch 25 new routes within the next three to four months.
Flyadeal, a subsidiary of Saudia Airlines, currently serves 30 destinations with a fleet of 38 Airbus aircraft, a number set to grow to 88 within three years and 100 by 2030. This expansion includes the addition of A321 aircraft in early 2026, enabling longer-haul flights. The airline recently placed a large order for 51 additional Airbus A320 family aircraft.
Greenway highlighted India as a key market for growth due to significant worker and religious tourism traffic. He confirmed flyadeal is actively exploring opportunities in India within the next 12 months, leveraging a codeshare agreement with Saudia to connect passengers from the subcontinent to European destinations. China and Southeast Asia are also on the airline’s radar.
To accommodate the growing demand for long-haul travel, particularly for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and workers from Southeast Asia, flyadeal is considering a wide-body aircraft order, potentially by the end of the year. The airline currently operates five leased wide-body aircraft and sees potential for their use in high-demand Indian markets like Kolkata, particularly for cargo transportation. The government of Saudi Arabia is supporting this expansion to increase passenger and cargo traffic into the kingdom.
