Sun Nov 24 22:30:00 UTC 2024: ## Andhra Pradesh Farmers to Protest Central Government Policies

**Vijayawada, November 25, 2024** – The Kula Vyatireka Porata Sangham (KVPS), a farmers’ rights organization in Andhra Pradesh, has announced a state-wide protest for November 26th against what it terms the central government’s “anti-farmer, anti-worker, and anti-people policies.”

The protest coincides with a nationwide intensification of farmer and worker agitations, announced by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. KVPS leaders O. Nallappa and Andhra Malyadri criticized the BJP-led NDA government for neglecting farmers and workers, citing new labor codes that allegedly erode worker rights and policies favoring corporate entities. They also condemned the privatization of public sector units (PSUs) and alleged attempts to dismantle reservation policies.

The KVPS is calling on Dalits across Andhra Pradesh to join the protest and support their cause. The organization’s statement emphasizes the need for a legally guaranteed minimum support price (MSP) for agricultural products.
