Sun Nov 24 20:06:03 UTC 2024: ## Delhi to Get India’s Largest Sports University: Kejriwal
**NEW DELHI, November 25, 2024** – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal announced plans for a ₹2,100 crore sports university in Mundka village, northwest Delhi. Kejriwal, addressing an election rally, touted this as a key step towards making Delhi a center for sporting excellence. He also highlighted other AAP government achievements in the area, including the installation of 4,000 CCTV cameras and the participation of 2,800 elderly residents in a pilgrimage scheme. He accused the BJP of attempting to hinder AAP’s progress.
However, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor criticized Kejriwal’s promises as “hollow,” claiming the AAP government neglected Delhi’s rural areas. Kapoor pointed to Lieutenant-Governor V.K. Saxena’s allocation of ₹523 crore for rural infrastructure upgrades as evidence of AAP’s shortcomings. The clash of statements highlights a key point of contention in the upcoming elections.
