Sun Nov 24 19:34:47 UTC 2024: ## Amorim Unveils First Man Utd XI: Evans Starts, Hojlund on Bench

**Manchester, UK –** New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has named his starting eleven for the club’s Premier League clash against Ipswich Town, live on Sky Sports at 4.30pm today. The game marks Amorim’s debut after his recent move from Sporting Lisbon.

The Portuguese manager has opted for a 3-4-3 formation, with a notable inclusion of veteran defender Jonny Evans starting at centre-back. Striker Rasmus Hojlund, however, begins on the bench. Leading the attack will be Marcus Rashford, who starts alongside Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho. The inclusion of Evans, Eriksen, and Garnacho represents three changes from the team fielded under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy. Injured Lisandro Martinez, as well as Hojlund and Manuel Ugarte, will start from the bench.

Despite recent criticism from Gary Neville for their trip to America during the international break, both Rashford and Casemiro are included in the starting eleven. Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot will operate as wing-backs, supporting a central defensive trio of Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, and Evans.

The bench also features the return of several players from injury, including Kobbie Mainoo (after a seven-match absence), Tyrell Malacia (first appearance since May 2023), and Luke Shaw (first appearance since February).

**Manchester United Starting XI:** Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Evans; Amad, Casemiro, Eriksen, Dalot; Garnacho, Rashford, Fernandes.

**Substitutes:** Bayindir, Malacia, Shaw, Mainoo, Mount, Ugarte, Antony, Hojlund, Zirkzee.
