**Kolkata, India** – The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have announced a significant roster overhaul ahead of the IPL 2025 season. The defending champions have released their captain, Shreyas Iyer, and several other players, while retaining key members and making strategic additions through the auction.

The team’s core remains largely intact, with star players Sunil Narine and Andre Russell returning. KKR also made a significant investment in retaining the services of Varun Chakravarthy and Rinku Singh, both instrumental in their previous season’s success.
