**Bengaluru, November 24, 2024** – Jitesh Sharma, the Team India wicketkeeper-batsman, has been acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a whopping ₹11 crore in the 2025 IPL mega auction. Sharma, who initially entered the IPL with Punjab Kings in 2022, had a base price of ₹1 crore.

The explosive batsman’s impressive performances over the past two seasons, including a strike rate of 164 in his debut season (2022) and over 155 in 2023, attracted intense bidding. He scored 234 runs in 12 matches in 2022 and 309 runs in all 14 matches in 2023 for Punjab Kings.
