**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia** – The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction in Jeddah delivered several shocks on Sunday, most notably the retention of Australian batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk by the Delhi Capitals and the unexpected unsold status of veteran Australian David Warner.

Delhi Capitals exercised their “Right to Match” card to secure McGurk for ₹9 crore (approximately $1.1 million USD), despite him initially being picked up by Punjab Kings. McGurk impressed last season with 330 runs in nine matches for DC, showcasing a strike rate of 234.04.

In a stunning turn of events, Warner, a three-time Orange Cap winner and IPL legend, failed to attract any bids. His impressive IPL record of 6,565 runs in 184 matches went unnoticed in the auction.
