Mon Nov 25 15:22:08 UTC 2024: ## IPL Auction Sees Mixed Results: Some Players Fetch Millions, Others Go Unsold

**Mumbai, India** – The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction saw a mixed bag of results today, with some players attracting fierce bidding wars while others failed to find any takers at all.

Several players were sold at their base price of ₹30 lakh, including one secured by Chennai Super Kings, another by Lucknow Super Giants, and a third by Punjab Kings (PBKS). Mumbai Indians also acquired a player at his base price.

However, the auction also witnessed some intense competition. One player, initially listed at ₹30 lakh, saw a bidding war between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, eventually selling to Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹1.20 crore. Another player, with a base price of ₹30 lakh, was sold to Rajasthan Royals after a bidding duel with Delhi Capitals, ultimately fetching ₹1.10 crore.

Several players with base prices ranging from ₹30 lakh to ₹75 lakh went unsold, despite interest from some teams in a few cases. The lack of interest highlighted the selective nature of the bidding process, with teams focusing their resources on specific targets. Among the unsold players were Sanjay Yadav (twice listed), and several others whose names were not specified.

The auction continues, with further players yet to be considered.
