**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia** – The upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction, scheduled for Sunday and Monday in Jeddah, has been cast under a shadow following the BCCI’s decision to suspend two players and investigate three others over suspect bowling actions. This announcement comes just days before the highly anticipated event.
Manish Pandey and Shrijith Krishnan, both representing Karnataka in domestic cricket, have been banned from competitive bowling. Their actions have previously been questioned, but the BCCI has only now imposed the ban.
Furthermore, the BCCI has placed Lucknow Super Giants all-rounder Deepak Hooda, along with Saurabh Dubey and KC Cariappa, on a suspect list. All five players are set to participate in the mega auction, and the BCCI’s actions are expected to significantly impact their potential earnings.
Hooda and Pandey have both set their base prices at ₹75 lakh, while Dubey, Krishnan, and Cariappa, as uncapped players, have a base price of ₹30 lakh.
The mega auction’s timing has been adjusted by the BCCI to 3:30 PM IST to avoid clashing with the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia. This change aims to maximize global viewership.
