**Hyderabad, November 24, 2024** – Uke Abbaiah, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing both Burgampahad and Yellandu constituencies, passed away in Hyderabad on Sunday at the age of 70. Abbaiah, a veteran tribal leader, had been receiving treatment for age-related health issues at a private hospital in Hyderabad for several weeks.
Abbaiah served as MLA for Burgampahad in 1983 under the CPI banner and twice represented Yellandu constituency for the TDP, between 1994-1999 and 2009-2014. His passing has drawn condolences from prominent figures, including BRS senior leader and former Khammam MP Nama Nageshwara Rao, who expressed his grief over the loss of the veteran tribal leader.
