**New Delhi, November 25, 2024** – A fire broke out at the Seemapuri police station in Delhi on Sunday evening, November 24, 2024. Seven fire tenders were deployed to extinguish the blaze, which spread across three floors of the building. According to Delhi Fire Services, the fire started around 8:42 p.m. in the “malkhana,” the evidence storage room. The fire was brought under control by approximately 9:40 p.m.
While the fire caused damage to the stairs and adjacent rooms containing case property within the “malkhana,” Delhi Police reported that no injuries were sustained. A full assessment of the damage is pending. A resident of the Police Colony initially alerted authorities to the fire.
