**Hyderabad, Telangana, November 25, 2024** – Telangana’s Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, has directed officials to accelerate the completion of several crucial irrigation projects. In a videoconference meeting on Monday, Reddy emphasized the need to minimize delays to ensure timely benefits reach the intended population.

The Minister specifically instructed officials to expedite the tendering and execution of the Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project. He also stressed the importance of reducing bureaucratic hurdles, particularly for priority projects. Reddy sought updates on the Modikunta Vagu project’s cost estimates and the land acquisition progress for the Chinna Kaleshwaram project, urging closer collaboration with Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy to resolve land acquisition issues. He further requested detailed proposals for future land acquisitions.

Addressing the issue of sediment build-up, Reddy instructed officials to initiate tenders for de-silting dams and reservoirs to restore water storage capacity and maintain water quality.

Finally, the Minister requested a comprehensive report detailing the progress, funding requirements, land acquisition challenges, and other obstacles faced by each project. He assured the state government’s commitment to resolving any issues to ensure the timely completion of all projects.
