**Kozhikode, Kerala, November 25, 2024** – A district-level committee in Kozhikode has announced a major campaign to revive the region’s waterbodies. The initiative, part of the Haritha Keralam Mission’s ‘Ini Njan Ozhukatte’ project, will run from December 8th, 2024 to March 21st, 2025.
Building on previous successes, which saw the revival of 98 streams in the first phase and 457 in the second, the campaign will focus on clearing accumulated waste from waterbodies and prioritizing streams identified in the district’s water budget. The project involves the collaboration of the Local Self-Governments, Irrigation, Soil Conservation, and Ground Water departments. The timely removal of waste is a key component of the campaign.
