**Perth, Australia:** Virat Kohli has achieved a remarkable milestone, scoring his 100th professional century. While Sachin Tendulkar remains the only cricketer with 100 international centuries, Kohli’s achievement marks a significant feat in his illustrious career.
Kohli reached this landmark with a stunning century in the first Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test match against Australia in Perth. His 143-ball innings, studded with 8 fours and 2 sixes, was his seventh Test century in Australia, making him the first Indian batsman to achieve this record. This also places him among the top three players globally to score seven or more centuries on Australian soil.
While 81 of Kohli’s centuries are in international cricket (50 in ODIs, 30 in Tests, and 1 in T20Is), the remaining 19 were scored in domestic cricket and the IPL (8 in IPL, 7 in Ranji Trophy and other domestic matches, and 4 in List A cricket). This accomplishment places him in an exclusive club alongside cricketing legends. He still trails Tendulkar by 19 centuries in terms of international centuries.
