**Bengaluru, India** – The second day of the IPL Mega Auction saw a bidding frenzy for experienced Indian bowlers, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar becoming the most expensive buy. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secured the veteran pacer for a staggering ₹10.75 crore (approximately $1.3 million USD) after a three-way battle with the Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants.

The bidding for Kumar began with Mumbai Indians, quickly escalating to over ₹8 crore as Lucknow Super Giants joined the fray. Lucknow pushed the price to ₹10 crore before Mumbai countered with ₹10.5 crore. Ultimately, RCB secured Kumar with a final bid of ₹10.75 crore.

Other Indian fast bowlers also commanded significant interest. Akash Deep was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for ₹8 crore after a competitive bidding process involving Chennai and Punjab. Deepak Chahar, after a similarly intense bidding war between Mumbai, Punjab, and Chennai, was picked up by Mumbai Indians for ₹9.25 crore.
